This week’s post is dedicated to the beautiful Musée Yves Saint Laurent in Marrakech. Designed by Parisian based, Studio KO, the elegant curved brick façade, was inspired by the couture jacket lining of Saint Laurent to lace-like effect. The structure is the first museum in Africa dedicated purely to fashion, and what a phenomenal project. The 4000 square meter museum consists of permanent and temporary exhibition spaces, a research library, an auditorium, bookstore and café. The structure comfortably blends in with its surroundings, curving and blending in with the culturally rich context that inspired the master, Yves Saint Laurent. (Images via Studio KO).
