“We felt strongly that we needed to give the space a heart” _Thomas Heatherwick

During the 2011 Design Indaba conference we attended Thomas Heatherwick’s inspiring talk about his studio and work. During the insightful presentation he first revealed the concept for the first contemporary African museum, the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa. On the 22nd of September the museum will open it’s doors to the general public. The project is an historic one celebrating African art on local soil, we cannot wait to visit what seems to be a monumental architectural feat for the African continent and it’s artists.
