‘The Buckminster table’

Premier steel producer ArcelorMittal and Southern Guild joined forces to present an exhibition of the most important South African Collectable Design at the Everard Read Gallery, Johannesburg. More than a 100 of South Africa’s top designers and artists were selected to exhibit works/pieces. William Kentridge, Conrad Botes, Brett Murray, Gregor Jenkin, Michael McGarry to name but a few.

Tonic is proud to have been selected to form part of this noteworthy exhibition. ’The Buckminster table’, by Tonic is a table constructed from walnut shafts connected with solid brass nodes to create this hexagon shaped table. A circular grey tinted glass top ‘floats’ on top allowing a view of the connected base.
